Te Rau Āwhina employs two Children’s Advocates whose role is to support children who are affected by family violence and ensure their voices are heard and wellbeing supported.  Children’s Advocates work closely with the child’s caregivers to understand their goals for their child and support them to parent in a way that supports those goals.

Our Children’s Advocates can provide individual or group programmes for children which focus on helping children stay safe, deal with hard feelings and learn non-violent ways of resolving conflict.
